I just pulled this one out of the kiln two days ago and I actually made this one for myself, but I wanted to add in some more color options for this drop, so sadly I will have to let this one go before I get to use it. I made this specifically to use a travel mug so the bottom fits in some car cup holders. I checked both of ours. I also made the handle the style I like where one finger goes through the loop and the curve at the bottom is where a second finger can support it. Anyways, it's made with a speckled clay with purple on the top and black glaze on the bottom.
It holds approximately 16 oz of fluid.
*Please note that my pottery items are handmade and handcrafted. That does mean that small imperfections may add to their charm. I do test these pieces before to make sure they are fit for purpose. Any dinnerware items like bowls or mugs use food safe glazes. I do not recommend putting these pieces in the microwave as some of the glazes do not react well in the microwave. Handwashing is typically best for handmade pottery, so that's recommended. I do personally put the pieces I make myself in the top rack of the dishwasher and I have not had any problems, but many potters I know advise only hand washing of their pottery. I guess what I am saying is put them in the dishwasher at your own risk, but it will probably be ok.
