Hot pressed paper is pressed with heat so it's smoother and the fibers are a bit closer together. So, if you're not a fan of really textured watercolor papers, this one is perfect!
The paper has a smooth hot press finish, but it's still 140lb 100% cotton paper. There are 24/48 sheets, you can paint on both sides, to get creative on. I love the feeling of this cover, it's a hard cover that's smooth and almost velvety.
